Citizenship education: Culture and Education committee asks for a common EU curriculum. Education about the European Union, its values and democratic processes needs to be significantly boosted, says EP’s Committee in a resolution adopted on Tuesday. In a resolution adopted by 23 votes in favour, 3 against and 2 abstentions, MEPs call to improve citizenship education, in particular European citizenship education at all levels.

KMK benennt Vorsitzenden – Task Force tagt erstmalig
Die Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) hat in ihrer 377. Sitzung in Lübeck eine Task Force Ukraine zur zentralen Koordinierung eingesetzt, um geflüchteten ukrainischen Schülerinnen und Schüler und Lehrkräften schnell zu helfen. Den Vorsitz der Task Force hat Hans Beckmann, Staatsekretär a.D. aus Rheinland-Pfalz, übernommen. Alle 16 Länder entsenden Mitglieder in die Task Force, die die unterschiedlichen Fachexpertisen der Ministerien repräsentieren. Die Runde wird sich wöchentlich, bei Bedarf auch häufiger austauschen und untereinander abstimmen, in einzelnen Fragen auch mit dem Bund.

Studie sieht bei Schüleraustausch noch Luft nach oben
In Thüringen beteiligen sich einer Studie zufolge vergleichsweise wenig Jugendliche an Austauschprogrammen. Universitäten müssen weg von der Selbstbeschäftigung
Die Universitäten müssen angesichts bestehender Krisen weniger selbstreferentiell agieren und gesamtgesellschaftliche Verantwortung übernehmen. Die Corona-Krise und die Ukrainekrise dürften die folgenreichsten nach 1945 sein – auch deshalb, weil die staatlichen Instanzen am allerwenigsten darauf vorbereitet waren. Mit einer kindlichen Naivität ist die Politik offenbar seit 1989 davon ausgegangen, dass mit der Neuordnung der Welt nach dem Zusammenbruch der sozialistischen Systeme Kants Idee vom ewigen Frieden nun Wirklichkeit werde. Die Vorratshaltung für die Bevölkerung wurde aufgegeben, Luftschutzsirenen demontiert, die Armee unter anderem durch Aussetzung der Wehrpflicht handlungsunfähig gemacht, Cyberattacken für irreal gehalten, Bürgerkriege für unwahrscheinlich, Terroranschläge ebenso, deswegen die Verringerung der Polizeikräfte vorangetrieben und der Klimawandel und das Migrationsgeschehen nicht wirklich ernst genommen.

100 000 Euro für Jugendarbeit
Mit alles in allem 1,6 Millionen Euro fördert Hessen kommunale Jugendbildung-Projekte außerhalb der Schule. Eines davon ist ein Offenbacher Projekt. as hessische Jugendaktionsprogramm unterstützt kommunale Bildungsprojekte, die mit außerschulischen Angeboten Jugendlichen Themen wie Partizipation und Demokratie näherbringen wollen.
